Away from Home
I now realize the predicament that most overseas Filipino workers are in. Well, I’ve actually known about it before. You see, my husband used to travel a lot abroad for his work. I felt the pain of relatives waiting for their love ones, who constantly struggle in any foreign country. Even having jobs in philadelphia wasn’t a guarantee of survival away from home. It was a good thing that we finally decided to join my husband and live permanently abroad. I now feel the pain that the overseas Filipino workers have when trying to adjust in a foreign land. There have been bumps along our way, but we’ve recently found a place even if we are away from home.
