Dressing for Melbourne’s Weather
Melbourne’s climate is generally temperate however there are four distinct seasons. Melbourne’s weather is a national standing joke with many claiming that all four seasons usually occur on the same day! Average daily sunshine is 5.7 hours.
Summer- December, January, February – can be very hot particularly in the late afternoon.
Autumn of Fall -March, April, May – crisp, cool mornings with many fine days.
Winter- June, July, August- can be cold and wet with strong winds across Bass Strait
Spring- September, October, November- can be changeable with sunny and rainy periods. Melbourne’s gardens are at their best in spring.
You should plan to wear clothes in layers and be prepared for sudden changes in the weather or temperature. Southerly winds from Antartic regions can be chilling which really makes me freaked out lol!; however, it rarely snows in Melbourne. In winter keep an umbrella handy. In summer you will require light clothing suitable for hot weather and should wear a sun hat and sun block-out cream at all times when in the direct sunlight. Children often wearing of hats at play time during the summer months.

For attractive lips , speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes , seek out the good in people. For beautiful hair , let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise , walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
